Junior Police Academy

Open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders who are interested in law enforcement or criminal justice.

Spend a week learning about a variety of subjects by officers who use the information in the field daily. Topics include:

  • Patrol Techniques

  • Constitutional Rights

  • Traffic Enforcement

  • Crime Scene Investigation

  • Defensive Tactics

In order to qualify for the program, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at the middle school level with a minimum ā€œCā€ GPA

  • No more than two unexcused absences for the semester

  • Must not have been arrested or referred to juvenile probation for any felony crime, or have any arrest for crimes of moral turpitude.
