Junior Police Academy
Open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders who are interested in law enforcement or criminal justice.
Spend a week learning about a variety of subjects by officers who use the information in the field daily. Topics include:
Patrol Techniques
Constitutional Rights
Traffic Enforcement
Crime Scene Investigation
Defensive Tactics
In order to qualify for the program, students must meet the following requirements:
Must be at the middle school level with a minimum “C” GPA
No more than two unexcused absences for the semester
Must not have been arrested or referred to juvenile probation for any felony crime, or have any arrest for crimes of moral turpitude.
